Hemingway Studies in Japan
Hemingway Studies in Japan highlights the latest research and critical trends in Hemingway scholarship produced in Japan over the past few decades. The book is a compilation of sixteen chapters covering a broad and distinctive range of perspectives and methods: race, gender, ecology, poetry, visual arts, manuscripts, and religion. All of the chapters were written by recognized scholars in Japan, fifteen of them were previously published in journals or in scholarly books written in Japanese. The editors hope that by translating these works into English a larger Anglophone audience will have access to a rich new source of Hemingway research, one that can be cited by academics and students outside Japan to contribute to Hemingway scholarship worldwide.
